Not so, however, for North Melbourne Boxing and Fitness trainer Steve Stenborg, who says he is constantly impressed with the dedication and attitude of his star pupil, Susie Ramadan.
"I'm inspired by her as a person and not just as an athlete," Stenborg said of the newly crowned women's WBC bantamweight titleholder.
Ramadan, who hails from Preston, defeated Thailand's Usanakorn Kokietgym on Friday night at the Melbourne Pavilion to become only the second Australian woman ever to hold a WBC title.
Ramadan defeated Kokietgym after a 10-round bout, which featured fierce punching from both fighters.
"She outboxed her opponent," Stenborg said.
A number of cracking encounters will be witnessed on Saturday's eve at the Flushing Meadows Park in New York, with world class contenders battling out for berths in the fourth round of the US Open Championships.
