Have a penchant for travelling but don’t know which places to include in your list this year? We help you along with five excellent recommendations. If you want to take an international holiday this year, you’re reading the correct article. Scroll through our list below to explore some of the most stunning locations in the world, including:
US Virgin Islands. When you visit the US Virgin Islands, you get glorious weather, pristine beaches with white sand and a taste of a laid-back, happy West Indian lifestyle. The tropical destination is filled with wondrous topography, eateries that serve local produce cooked to perfection, breweries that offer tours (and a taste!) and many other excellent sights such as Blackbeard’s Castle, Coral World Ocean Park, Cruzan Rum Distillery and Havensight.
Bangkok, Thailand. This one’s on every traveller’s bucket list, and with good reason. Offering a wonderful mix of tradition and contemporary cultural trends, Bangkok pleases every visitor. You could be a historian, a teenager out with friends, a tired businessman or a retired sportsperson, and you would find the places to entertain and educate you wherever you go. Plus, there are excellent shopping and dining destinations here.
Vietnam. This country is being discovered by more and more tourists every year, and it MUST be included in your list for several reasons. For one thing, the entire country is scenic and features breathtaking locals. For another, the local residents are warm and helpful. For a third, travelling in Vietnam is extremely affordable, so you can have the best time of your life. One more reason? The crime rate is low and the country is very safe for single women travellers.
South Island, New Zealand. Like Australia, New Zealand has the best to offer in terms of vibe, natural beauty, friendly locals and great food. But one of the attractions of New Zealand is a South Island, a haven of natural wildlife, exotic birds, adventure sports, lush greenery and towering hills. Here, you can watch penguins, whales, dolphins and seals cavort around the waters, and further south, the country’s national bird, the Kiwi. Plus, there are many opportunities for adventure sports and treks.
Dubrovnik, Croatia. Rounding off our list is this little-known destination that has a divine location and the kind of blue seas that even Photoshop cannot replicate. Historically known as a trading destination, Dubrovnik is a walled city that has largely retained its character and architecture even today. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and is filled with cobbled walkways, street bazaars, stunning churches and historic fortifications.
Once you decide where you wish to travel, do take the time to browse for a good travel insurance policy. You might be offered a plan by the airline you booked your tickets with, but make sure to get a comprehensive travel insurance plan that covers all the important bases: misplaced or damaged bags, stolen luggage, illness or hospitalisation cover abroad, emergency airlifting back to home country on medical grounds, accidental death cover, etc.
Don't worry, we won't post anything.
